Permits Filed for 15-Story Homeless Shelter in Highbridge
Building permits have just been filed for a 15-story, mixed-use development, at 1298 Inwood Avenue in the Highbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. Developed by , the building would contain a homeless shelter, with temporary residences. Plans also call for 10,983 square feet of community facility space, storage for up to 12 bicycles, and a cellar level.
Designed by , the structure would stand feet tall and total square feet. An existing 2-story commercial building would have to be demolished in order to make way for the new development.
