Permits Filed for 27-Story Mixed-Use Tower in Hudson Square
Building permits have just been filed for a 27-story, mixed-use tower, at 76 Varick Street in Manhattan's Hudson Square neighborhood. To be known as "Two Hudson Square", the project is a joint venture between Taconic Partners and Nuveen Real Estate.
The tower will offer square feet of Class-A office space, spanning floors 7 through 25. It will also have square feet of retail space, located on the ground floor. Notably, the structure will additionally contain a public elementary school. It will have 444 seats for K-5 students, as well as Pre-K children. The school will total 77,100 square feet, and span 5-floors.
Designed by , Two Hudson Square will stand feet tall and total square feet. It would be constructed on an irregularly shaped lot, and replace an outdoor bar and nightlife spot.
