Permits Filed for 70-Unit AIRS Facility in the Bronx

Building permits have just been filed for a 9-story, senior housing development, at 1465 Bryant Avenue in the Bronx's Crotona Park East neighborhood.

Developed by , with financing provided by the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development, the building will provide  affordable and supportive housing units under the Affordable Independent Residences for Seniors (AIRS) program. It will also feature a roof terrace, a cellar level, and a landscaped rear yard.

Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. It will be Passive House Certified and built with sustainably sourced materials. An existing 3-story mixed-use building would have to be demolished in order to make way for the new development.
