Permits Filed for Fort Greene Mixed-Use Development
Permits have just been filed for an 8-story, mixed-use development at 134 Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn's Fort Greene neighborhood. Developed by , the building would contain residential condominiums and square feet of commercial space. This would likely come in the form of ground-floor retail. Plans also call for an enclosed parking garage with enough room for vehicles. Designed by , the structure would stand feet tall and total square feet.
Years ago, the lot was occupied by a gas station and a mechanics shop. While the pumps and canopy were removed, the garage was left standing as a remnant of the property's past. This would almost certainly have to be demolished in order to make way for the new development.
