Permits Filed for Gowanus Mixed-Use Development
Permits have been filed for a 9-story mixed-use tower at 577 Union Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Developed by, , the building would contain rental apartments, with approximately 54 units dedicated to affordable housing in order to comply with city requirements. In addition to this, there would be square feet of retail on the ground floor. The building will be designed by Architects and total approximately square feet. The structure is also planned to have an enclosed parking garage with enough space for vehicles. The lot is currently occupied by a 1-story industrial building. Demolition permits were filed back in June for its removal.
