Permits Filed for Massive Lower East Side Residential Tower
Two Bridges Associates LP has just filed permits for a 71-story residential tower at 265 South Street on the Lower East Side. The project is a joint venture between developers, L+M Development Partners, and CIM Group Inc, and would be one of four skyscrapers that the pair plans to build beside the Manhattan Bridge on the Two Bridges waterfront.
The structure will be designed by Handel Architects, and stand 761 feet tall. It will contain 1313 residential units, with a certain amount of those designated for affordable housing. 265 South Street will also have over 100 parking spaces. These are likely to be located in an underground parking garage.
