Permits Filed for Office Building in Gasworx Development
Permits have been filed with the City of Tampa for the office component of the Gasworx development in Tampa. The office building project, which includes the partial demolition and renovation of an existing warehouse, will offer 510,400 feet of space. In addition to the office space, Gasworx will add as many as 5,000 homes, and 150,000 square feet of retail space. The Gas Worx project will connect Tampa’s historic Ybor City with the Channel District and the Water Street development. Spread out over 50 acres, the development is being rolled out in stages and includes the redevelopment of a 70,000 square foot warehouse and the demolition of the vacant Tampa Park apartment complex. The first building, La Unión Residence and Social Hall, a 317-unit apartment complex, opened in November 2024.
