Phase 1 of Affordable Housing Community in Goulds, Florida Nearing Completion

The exterior is complete at Phase 1 of Southpointe Vista, an affordable housing community in Goulds, Florida, and crews are putting the finishing touches on the interior and site work. The development is a two-phase project located at the northeast corner of SW 214th Street and SW 117th Court in Goulds. Phase 1 features Building A, a new ten-story building with 124 affordable units (ranging from one to three-bedrooms) reserved for people earning up to 70% of area median income (AMI). Amenities will include a fitness center, multi-purpose room, computer lounge, and rooftop terrace. Phase 1 also includes a two-story parking garage housing 199 parking spaces. Phase 2 will consist of Building B, an additional 10-story building consisting of 208 units (ranging in size from studios to two-bedrooms) with amenities. Another two-story parking garage with 144 parking spaces will also be part of Phase 2. Phase 2 is in the permitting stage and construction is expected to begin by the end of 2024.
