Plans Dropped for Approved 31-Story Chinatown Tower
Millennium Partners and the Asian Community Development Corporation have withdrawn plans for a 31-story mixed-use tower at 290 Tremont Street in Boston's Chinatown neighborhood. In response, the BPDA has re-issued a request for proposals for the site to solicit bids from developers.
Approved in 2020, plans had called for 168 affordable units, 63 condos, 105 apartments, and 200 hotel rooms. The project also included 2,500 square feet of retail space and 8,000 square feet of community space for a branch of the Boston Public Library. The site features a square-foot lot.
