Plans Filed for Building 1 of BWSC Parking Lots Development
Related Beal & Dream Development have filed plans for Building 1 within the proposed redevelopment of the Boston Water & Sewer Commission Parking Lots in Roxbury. Plans call for a 44,000-square-foot, six-story residential building featuring 45 affordable condo units. The unit mix will include 16 studios, 12 one-bedroom, 12 two-bedroom, and 5 three-bedroom units. Unit sizes range from around 500 SF for a studio to 1,200 SF for the largest three-bedroom unit. An approximately 1,400 SF residential amenity space is provided at the ground floor to the rear of the building.
Plans were filed now for the first phase of the development as Building 1 will benefit from federal American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) funds that must be designated by year-end 2024. The future phases and planned Buildings 2-5 will be designed and permitted at a later date.
