Plans Under Review for Ward 8 Senior Center
Plans are under review with DC's Zoning Board for a new Senior Wellness Center at 1700 Q Street SE in Ward 8. The applicant proposes to construct a senior wellness center to the east of the Kramer Middle School building currently on the site in an area that is currently open green space. The project will provide programming that is focused on health, wellness, education and socialization. The planned two-story 15,000 square foot building will include a multi-purpose room, a commercial kitchen, fitness center, meeting rooms, administrative space and community lounges.
