POUA & Fenway CDC Planning to Convert Our Lady's Guild House to 86 Affordable Units
The Planning Office for Urban Affairs and Fenway Community Development Corp. have presented plans for the redevelopment of Our Lady’s Guild House at 20 Charlesgate West in the Kenmore neighborhood. The team plans to convert the existing building, a 140-room lodging house, into an 86-unit affordable rental building. The project will include 22 units of Permanent Supportive Housing, plus an additional 19 units for households at or below 30% of Area Median Income. 5 units will be set aside at below-market rents for long-term residents and 40 units will be set aside for households earning at or below 60% of Area Median Income. The building will also include resident services for all units, a community room with kitchen and storage, management offices, resident lounge, fitness room, and laundry facilities.
