Progress for Greenpoint Mixed-use Development
An application for a mixed-use development at 79 Quay Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn is quickly progressing through public review. Submitted by Quay Plaza LLC, the application requests zoning map and text amendments to facilitate the construction of a 9-story mixed-use building. Developed by Henry Einhorn, it would total 119,000 square feet, with 83 residential units, and 13,500 square feet of retail space. A few weeks ago, the Community Board gave their approval with all members voting in favor of the project. At this time, the application is being reviewed by the Borough President, and a public hearing is slated for October 6th. After review, it will be passed to the City Planning Commission for further evaluation.
