Proposal for Brooklyn Waterfront Development Advances to Next Step
River Street Partners LLC, the applicant behind Brooklyn's River Ring development proposal, has just cleared another regulatory hurdle. The City Planning Commission finished reviewing the project last week, and a Community Board review period is now in progress. Under evaluation are a number of special permits and zoning amendments that are being sought in order to facilitate the project, which would stretch several blocks. If approved, this major development by Two Trees Management Company would see the creation of a large waterfront park that reaches out into the East River. It would also create two towers, containing a combined 1,050 residential units (including 263 affordable units).
