Raze Application Filed For The Ladybird Redevelopment on 48th NW

Raze permits have been filed for the Ladybird Apartments at 4820 Tuma St. NW and 4330 48th St. NW.

The redevelopment of the American University Park plans to add 214 apartment-and-condominium units, as well as five townhouses faces 48th St.

Twelve percent of the residential space would be inclusionary zoning units.

The development will include a 13,000 square foot MOM's Organic Market grocery store, as well as 5,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.

In July of 2020, an appeal was filed to the Zoning Commission to dispute the approval of the heavily-contested development.

It is not clear if that appeal will include a stay of construction.
