Renovations Continue at South Shore Hotel
The Hyatt Place Hotel in Braintree is currently undergoing 119,400 square feet of renovations, including an additional 3,900 square-foot pool area. CambridgeSeven converted the existing Sheraton Tara Hotel constructed in 1980 to a Hyatt Place Hotel in 2010-2011 which included the construction of a retail complex on the site. The current renovation of the public spaces and guestrooms by CambridgeSeven includes an update to the current Hyatt Place Hotel Corporate standards for guestroom finishes, lighting, and HVAC along with the Public Space finishes, furniture, and artwork. Back-of-house kitchen and administration areas are also being upgraded. The hotel is anticipated to re-open in the Spring of 2021.
