Ridgecrest Village to Undergo nearly $50M in Renovations
The Ridgecrest Village community will undergo $48.9M in renovations with funds granted from the DCHA.
The project, originally constructed in 1951 and last renovated in 1993, was first set aside for funds by Mayor Bowser in May 2021. It has 140 units reserved for 80% or less area median income.
“Not only does this deal ensure the residents of Ridgecrest Village will get much-needed updates to preserve their homes, but also that formerly naturally occurring affordable housing will transition to long-term affordable housing to support residents at all income levels,” stayed Christopher E. Donald, Executive Director/CEO, DCHFA.
