Scoping Determination Filed for Harbor Garage Redevelopment Project
A scoping determination has been filed for The Pinnacle at Central Wharf addressing community feedback on the project. The planned development located at the site of the Harbor Garage, an existing 70-foot high parking structure, would entail the construction of a 600-foot tall iconic tower by owner Don Chiofaro. As the filing points out the project has "simultaneously generated excitement and concern" and the BPDA expects the development team to continue the regular conversations with the community.
“Our team is conducting a thorough review of the Scoping Determination provided by the BPDA, as well as all of the comments received. We thank all those who participated in the public comment period, and look forward to continued conversations about The Pinnacle at Central Wharf" said Rob Caridad, Project Manager for The Chiofaro Company. “We continue to be in a listening mode, and we anticipate the project will evolve in conjunction with robust outreach and collaboration efforts.”
The 865,000 square-foot building would serve as a mixed-use property of both office, residential, and retail space and provides an opportunity to create a public realm that connects downtown with the waterfront.
