Boston Seaport by WS Development is determined to keep spirits bright this winter with a rich program of outdoor and shopping experiences. Visitors can board festively decorated Circuit shuttles for complimentary rides across the neighborhood; find the magic in holiday shopping as various restaurants and shops play host to Winter Wonder Walks; discover a plethora of winter games and activities at Snowport; or simply revel in the neighborhood’s extensive holiday decor. Each weekend in November and December, visitors will also encounter surprise and delight moments, including socially distant meet and greets with winter legends like Betty the Yeti, and find playful "Winter Wonder Boxes” across the neighborhood. Anyone who spies a Winter Wonder Box can unwrap giveaways and perks from local businesses that meet the demands of the season, be it gloves for a snowball fight or handwarmers for a chilly day. www.bostonseaport.xyz

Circuit Electric Shuttles
Now – January 3, 2021

Seaport has partnered with Circuit to provide complimentary rides to get around the neighborhood throughout the winter season. Two environmentally friendly, Snowport branded electric vehicles will traverse a route inclusive of Post Office Square, the New England Aquarium, South Station, Seaport Boulevard and The Boston Innovation Design Center. The festive electric vehicles will feature hot pink holiday trees in their rear, and offer complimentary Seaport swag to all riders. The first giveaway will be an award-winning product from Organic Bath Co., which is currently a pop-up at The Current. All Circuit rides are free, courtesy of Seaport, and can be hailed on the street or booked via the Ride Circuit mobile app; rides booked on the mobile app will be prioritized first. In keeping with COVID-19 safety protocols, all drivers and passengers are required to wear a mask; vehicles will be sanitized throughout the day and have a capacity of two passengers at a time. The shuttles will operate seven days a week, 11am-7pm.

Snowport Returns with Curling & Large Scale Winter Games

Seaport’s highly popular interactive winter wonderland, Snowport, returns after its Winter 2019 debut. This year, Snowport will call Seaport Common its home and will offer ample opportunity for socially distant, outdoor play by way of iceless curling and large-scale versions of classic games such as Battleship, light-up Bocce, Jenga, KanJam, and cornhole. The North End Curling Club is back this year to provide complimentary Learn to Curl classes every Saturday from November 14 – December 19, 2020, 2pm-4pm, so as to coincide with Winter Wonder Walks (detailed below). Curling lane reservations can be booked via Skedda, and Learn to Curl classes can be booked via EventBrite. Seaport’s vintage Silver Queen gondola cabin, which hails from Aspen, Colorado, and was once part of one of the longest single-stage gondolas in North America, will return, providing limitless photo opportunities. The gondola will also serve as a hub for guest ambassadors who are available to answer questions about the neighborhood, manage curling lane reservations, and sanitize activities. With the utmost concern for public safety during the pandemic, Seaport’s skating rink will not return. Snowport’s outdoor games will follow stringent COVID-19 safety guidelines; guests are required to wear a mask; all games will be sanitized after each use, there will be reminders regarding social distancing along with one way entry and exit points. Snowport’s winter games and activities will be staffed from Monday-Friday, 4pm-9pm; Saturday, 12-9pm; and Sunday, 12-8pm.

There is no better time to experience the magic of the holiday season than during Seaport’s Winter Wonder Walks. Every Saturday, November 14th through December 19th from 2:00pm until 6:00pm, visitors enjoy exclusive in-store offers only available during the Winter Wonder Walks. Look for complimentary dog treats from Polkadog, 10% off at Tuscan Kitchen, and the opportunity to enter Helly Hansen’s Epic Season Pass raffle. Visitors will also encounter unexpected magical moments during the Winter Wonder Walks, such an appearance from Seaport’s newest friend, Betty the Yeti, or stumble upon Seaport’s festive Snow Spirits; Seaport commissioned 30 of these mythical winter creatures to pop up around the neighborhood. Ranging in size from 16 inches to 48 inches, look for them on green spaces, sidewalks and in various stores. While a neighborhood tree lighting is not possible this year, Seaport will still glow. Seaport Common is hosting a 54-foot Norway Spruce tree adorned in 10,000 white lights, now through December 30, 2020, as well as a 9-foot Menorah to celebrate Hanukkah from December 10 - 18, 2020. Visitors can also enjoy a neighborhood-wide tree display – twenty shops throughout Seaport, including Helly Hansen, La Colombe, Injeanius at The Current, Fjallraven, For Now, and Cardullo’s, will decorate their storefront windows with their own creative take on holiday trees, on display from November 14 through December 25, 2020.

The Tree Market returns to Seaport for its third year, brimming with holiday cheer and featuring anything and everything from Christmas trees, wreaths and kissing balls, to tree stands, and lights. The Tree Market is hosted by Seaport, in partnership with EverGreen Delivery. The spacious, open air market on the corner of Seaport Blvd. and Fan Pier Blvd. will feature a dedicated entry and exit point, with plenty of space for browsing. Shoppers will be able to bale and load trees directly into their vehicles or can schedule EverGreen Delivery to deliver trees right to their homes via bicycle. With the help of South Boston non-profit partners, EverGreen Delivery will donate a portion of all unsold holiday trees to families in need. 

To enhance the atmosphere and offer a variety of warming comfort foods, The Tree Market will transform a shipping container into a takeout window. Here, The Biscuit will serve hot cider and baked goods, including breads, pies and cookies, and visitors can also bring home local, fresh seafood.as Red's Best will serve a menu of cozy winter favorites including lobster bisque and clam chowder, and Hooked will carry fresh fish, smoked fish, and shellfish. All food will be pre-packaged and will only be available for advanced online orders. All orders must be placed by 8:00pm for pick up the following day, and special holiday packages will be available for Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. The Tree Market will follow stringent COVID-19 guidelines; vendors and shoppers are required to wear a mask and the market will offer reminders regarding social distancing, a fast track purchase line, one way entry and exit points, and contactless payment. The Tree Market will operate 7 days a week from 9:00am to 8:00pm.
