Senior Living Community in Sarasota Gains Approval
The City of Sarasota has given approval to the plans for a new senior living community in downtown Sarasota. LaVerne will feature 161 apartments and concierge services including assisted living and memory care. Located within the Laurel Park Historic District, it will be the first senior housing development in the core of downtown Sarasota. In addition to the residential units, LaVerne will offer ground-level retail space for a coffee shop, restaurant, and cocktail lounge. Amenities include an outdoor pool, club room, roof decks, and gardens. Completion is anticipated in 2024.
