Site Clear, Excavation Underway at 233 Hancock St. in Dorchester
Demo of an autobody shop that had been on the site at 233 Hancock Street is complete and excavation is underway. Once the site is prepped, Haycon, the project's GC will begin work on the 36 unit rental building. Apartments in the building will be a mix of studios, 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms, 21 of which will be designated as affordable. The project will also feature 720 square feet of ground-floor retail and a 400 square foot art gallery. The Dorchester location is just a few blocks from the Savin Hill MBTA station and across the street from the upcoming Dot Block development.
