Skanska Announces Promotion of Jennifer Tatum to Vice President of Capital Markets and Leasing

Skanska, a global leader in development and construction, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jennifer Tatum to Vice President of Capital Markets and Leasing. In her expanded role, Tatum will continue to oversee regional leasing efforts in D.C. while deepening relationships with buyers and investors and promoting Skanska’s portfolio nationally. She will also lead the development of a national divestment strategy.

Promoting cohesion across Skanska’s regional markets in D.C., Houston, Boston and Seattle, Tatum will foster national opportunities while spearheading knowledge-sharing initiatives across capital market trends, valuations and potential buyer and tenant topics. Tatum previously served as Skanska’s Vice President of Leasing for Washington, D.C., successfully driving office and retail leases at notable projects such as 17xM, 2112 Penn, 3901 Fairfax and Heming.

Prior to joining Skanska in 2017, Tatum worked at Newmark and CBRE. She is a longstanding member of CREW DC and serves on the board of the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association of Greater Washington, D.C. In addition to her work with professional commercial real estate organizations, Tatum serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Club Youth in Real Estate Luncheon. Tatum graduated from Furman University with a degree in history and economics. 

Skanska’s current projects in the greater D.C. area include 17xM, an 11-story, 334,000-square-foot trophy office building in D.C.’s central business district; 3901 Fairfax, a nine-story, 201,000-square-foot office building with ground-floor plaza and retail in Arlington; OZMA, a 12-story, mixed-use, residential development with 275 luxury apartments in NoMa; 2112 Penn, an 11-story, 230,000-square-foot, trophy office building in Foggy Bottom; and Heming, a 28-story, 483,000-square-foot residential building with a ground-floor plaza and retail in McLean, Va.
