Skyland Town Center Wins LEED Silver Rating
Sustainable Design Consulting, LLC has announced both LEED silver-level AND energy star multifamily Highrise certifications for Block 2 of Skyland Town Center! Developed by WC Smith and Rappaport, and designed by Torti Gallas + Partners, Skyland is the first Town Center development located in Southeast Washington, DC delivering over 400 units and over 270,000 sf of retail in the future. Block 2 is a five-story, 438,104 gsf mixed use building, consisting of 263 rental apartments and 84,263 square feet of retail space spanning two levels with below-grade parking. The project site provides public transit, bike storage, and electric charging stations to meet the growing need.
