ICON Riverfront Tower Update 03/14/23

Tampa’s Riverfront Will See Two New Towers

Plans have been submitted for two towers that will rise along the Hillsborough River across from downtown Tampa. ICON Riverfront will consist of a 48-story tower and 39-story tower, and will contain 550 living units, 10,816 square feet of retail space, ten boat dock slips, and a helipad. ICON will offer studio, one, two and three-bedroom floorplans. The developer has not indicated how many of the living units will be for sale and how many for rent. The towers will share a rooftop amenity deck with a pool, spa, pickleball court, yoga area, and kid’s play space. ICON will be a component of the larger Riverfront District development that will include 1,079 residential units, spread across three buildings, the 48-story South Tower, the 39-story North Tower, a 24-story tower and the 8-story student housing tower.  The residential units will include condominiums, and apartments.  The development would also include 32,760 square feet of retail space and 10 boat slips.  The initial plan, approved in 2017, called for 375 residences, 690,000 square feet of office space, 60,000 square feet of retail space and 350 hotel rooms.
