Third Extension Requested for Worcester Mixed-Use Project
The development team behind the approved project at 44 Grafton Street in Worcester has requested a third extension on approval. Originally approved in 2022, the plans call for a 9-story building to feature 105 residential units and 1,000 square feet of commercial space. The team is now hoping to start work on the project in 2025. Per project filings, delays have been caused by "labor and supply chain issues and access to financing and capital related to the rise in of inflation and interest rates and the overall slowdown in commercial real estate market."
