Demolition Underway at Iconic Miami Beach Deauville Tower
Developers of Miami Beach Deauville Hotel have been making progress on the tower's demolition. A memo submitted by Miami Beach's City Manager states that equipment is now onsite to begin the first phase of demolition work.
The group was required to remove asbestos from the building, and has now succeeded in doing so. The next step is Phase 1 demolition, where crews will take down the lobby, ballrooms, pool and pool deck. Following Phase 1, Phase 2 demolition will be an implosion which will take down the hotel tower entirely.
The site will then be replaced with two ultra-luxury towers, including an Equinox hotel and residential units.
