Tower Cranes Fall Sunseeker Resort Construction Site Update 10/03/22

Tower Cranes Fall Sunseeker Resort Construction Site

According to the developer, two cranes fell at the construction site at Sunseeker Resort in Port Charlotte due to high winds and flooding from Hurricane Ian.  We took significant precautions prior to the storm but are aware that with the intense winds and flooding, two of our five cranes have fallen. We will take the coming days to assess the damage to the resort’s construction site and will be able to share additional information once complete. Our goal is to make sure there are no possible imminent threats moving forward. We are grateful to the Charlotte County community and stand with them in their time of need.

Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor, southwest Florida’s newest destination, will provide 785 guest rooms, including 189 Sunsuites™ and 596 premium rooms.  Guests will have access to 20 dining concepts ranging from fine dining, casual and quick service.  The resort will feature two pools, state of the art fitness center and full-service spa and salon along with 60,000 square feet of meeting and event space.  The largest ballroom features 14,000 square feet of unobstructed waterfront views.  The championship level Aileron golf club is exclusive to resort guests.
