Two-Year Extension Approved for Georgetown Mixed-Use Project
The DC Zoning Commission has approved a 2-year extension for the mixed-use project at 2715 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. Plans call for a mixed-use building with a restaurant on the ground floor and a four-story apartment house with seven residential units above. The developer has been unable to stabilize the project's financial health due to the COVID-19 pandemic & rampant inflation. The project has also hit a roadblock as the original permitting documents need to be updated to comply with the 2017 District of Columbia Construction Code. However, per the filing, the team is still optimistic about the stabilization and future growth of the Georgetown market and is fully committed to delivering the PUD as soon as feasible.
