Update for 175 Park Avenue
Currently, in public review, David Karnovsky's art deco-style tower proposal for 175 Park Avenue is another step closer to becoming one of Midtown's newest architectural gems. Since our previous update, the City Planning Commission managed to vote on and approve the project. The proposal has now been sent to the City Council, who will evaluate it further. Next, it will be sent to the Mayor's Office who has 5 days to review the project and issue the green light. 175 Park was designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and is being developed jointly by RXR Realty and TF Cornerstone. If ultimately approved, the mixed-use office tower will stand 1,486 feet tall and contain approximately 2.1 million square feet. It will also have a hotel with 500 rooms.
