NYBC Center East Applied Life Sciences Hub Update 09/22/21

Update for NYBC's Proposed Manhattan Life Sciences Hub

The private application submitted by the New York Blood Center to create a Life Sciences Hub on the Upper East Side is still in public review. Since our last update, the Final Environmental Impact Statement has been submitted. Today the City Planning Commission will finally vote on the application after first reviewing it back in July. Next, the application will be sent to the City Council for further review. NYBC's Center East Life Sciences Hub would come as part of Mayor, Bill DeBlasio's ambitious citywide plan to invest $1 billion in life science programs by 2026.
