Update for Sheepshead Bay Mixed-Use Project

A proposal for a  story mixed-use development at 2134 Coyle Street in Brooklyn's Sheepshead Bay neighborhood is slowly progressing through the public review stage. Developer,  requested zoning map and text amendments to facilitate a square foot building, containing residential units. The building would also have  square feet of retail space,  parking spaces, and additional parking spaces for commercial vehicles. Since our last update, the Borough President finished reviewing the application and passed it along to the City Planning Commission (CPC). The CPC then held a public hearing to review the application, and a follow-up vote is expected soon. After this vote is cast, the project will next be sent to the City Council for surprise, surprise... even further review. Nevertheless, the application has made it a long way thus far, and only a few hurdles remain before it can receive final approval.
