Updated Plans Presented for Fenway Corners: Number of Units Increased
WS Development has filed updated plans for the massive Fenway Corners Development. The submission reflects the continued evolution of the project in response to community, BPDA, BCDC, and other stakeholder feedback since the initial filing in February 2022. The changes include...
- An additional 50,000 square feet of residential space, bringing the total residential units to 266.
- Increase in the amount of on-site affordable housing to 20%, creating 53 affordable units.
- Deferral of the pursuit of approvals for the last phase of the project, comprising 460,000 SF and only seek approvals at this time for the GFA allowed for thes site which total just over 1.6M SF.
- Complete restoration of the historic “Duck House,” a City-owned, late 19th century building situated on Agassiz Road between the East and West Fenway to serve as a community resource
Per the filing, the team "believes that the changes and the Project’s continued evolution have made the Project better and will yield even greater benefit to the Fenway neighborhood and city as a whole as it is developed and these benefits are realized".
