Vacant Brighton hospital acquired by Davis Companies for $15.75 million
A vacant hospital located at 1515 Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton has been acquired by The Davis Companies for $15.75 million. The hospital property features a vacant four-story, 58,420-square-foot building situated on 2.12 acres along the MBTA Green Line B branch. The property is located in a rapidly developing area of Brighton next to The Lancaster, a 2015-built luxury condominium development where a penthouse recently sold for $1.055 million, Brighton’s first condominium sale over $1 million. Minutes away is The Aberdeen, an under-construction 40-unit condominium building with residences priced over $1 million. The Davis Companies recently completed Telford 180, an 85-unit condominium development in nearby Allston which sold out prior to the building’s opening in Fall 2017. 1515 Commonwealth Avenue’s sale was brokered by Colliers International, who represented the property’s seller, Curahealth Hospitals.
