Vote Looms for Williamsburg Residential Development
An application for a new development at 824 Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is currently in public review. Submitted by aptly named, 824 Metropolitan Avenue Owner LLC, it requests a zoning map amendment that would facilitate the construction of an eight-story, mixed-use building. Developed by Kubersky Management, the building would have 36 housing units, with 11 permanently dedicated to affordable housing. Included would also be 7,000 square feet of commercial space. The City Planning Commission reviewed this application back in August and is finally expected to vote on it this afternoon. Next, the application will be sent to the City Council who will have 50 days to hold a hearing and vote on the project themselves.
