Work starts on Central Square boutique hotel
Initial interior demolition work has begun at 907 Main Street in Central Square, a mixed-use building that will be converted into a 67-room boutique hotel with ground-floor retail and a rooftop bar. Work officially began on Monday, October 9th; the hotel is expected to open in Spring 2019. The existing four-story building will be renovated, and a new fifth floor vertical addition will be constructed along with a new wing on the building's existing surface parking lot. The existing Patty Chen’s Dumpling Room will re-open in the new parking lot addition, and Toscanini’s Ice Cream will remain open at 907 Main Street throughout construction and will ultimately be integrated into the hotel's lobby. Cinderella's Restaurant will close October 28th after over 20 years in business.
