WPI Closes on Acquisition of 2 Hotels for $46M
Worcester Polytechnic Institute has closed on the acquisition of the Courtyard Worcester & Hampton Inn for a total of $46M. The Courtyard Worcester offers 134 hotel rooms constructed in 1999. The Hampton Inn, built in 2015, features 100 rooms. WPI plans to transition the Hampton Inn to student housing in 2026 with the Courtyard property to continue operation as a hotel through 2030.
