Zoning Board of Appeals Approves 3 Additional Apartments for Former Beacon Hill Pub

The Boston Zoning Board of Appeals granted City Realty approval for a rear addition to 147-149 Charles Street to create an additional 3 apartments for a total of 9. The developer will also forgo another bar to replace the Beacon Hill Pub, and instead create a ground-floor dining space.

The property features a 4 story 7,755 square-foot brick building that was constructed in 1899. City Realty acquired the beloved pub in 2018 for $5.5 million.
