Zoning Update for 2134 Coyle Street

A 5-story, mixed-use development, proposed for 2134 Coyle Street in Brooklyn's Sheepshead Bay neighborhood is now being reviewed by the NYC Mayor's Office. Since January of last year, developer, , has been seeking zoning map and text amendments. Designed by , the building would contain  residential units and total approximately square feet. It would also have  square feet of retail space,  parking spaces, and additional parking spaces for commercial vehicles.

Up until this point, the project has been reviewed by Brooklyn Community Board 15, the Borough President, the City Planning Commission (CPC), and the City Council. The Mayor's Office will now have just five days to either veto the proposed development or issue the final stamp of approval. The project's fate should be decided within the next day or two, but given its popularity with every regulating body so far, approval is expected.
