Zoning Update for Jamaica Senior Living Development
The City Council has now reviewed an application for a proposed project at 97-04 Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens. The council has suggested modifications to the project and these have been sent back to the City Planning Commission (CPC) for review. If the CPC approves, it will then be sent back to the City Council before proceeding to the NYC Mayor's Office. Submitted by BG Sutphin LLC, the application requests zoning map and text amendments to facilitate a 15-story, affordable housing building for seniors. Developed by , and designed by , it would contain approximately units and total square-feet. The development would also include around 15,000 sqft for a medical clinic and community facility space.
