1701 Rhode Island Ave NW, Dupont Circle, Washington DC

D.C.-based developer Akridge and their partner Alcion Ventures LP, in partnership with D.C.-based Hickok Cole Architects, redevelopment of the YMCA building at 1711 Rhode Island Avenue NW (now known as 1701 Rhode Island), located south of Dupont Circle. The new 100,000-square-foot development includes the addition of a two-story lobby, fitness center, and landscaped rooftop terrace. The swimming pool inside has been converted into a two-level, below-grade parking garage. 

It was recently announced that WeWork will be opening a new co-working space in the building at 1701 Rhode Island Ave, NW.
