Kane's is Open Plus 2 More Residential Buildings in the Works at Essex Landing in Saugus

The new location of Kane's Donuts is now open in the Essex Landing development along Route 1 in Saugus and it was quite busy on the Sunday morning we dropped by to check on the status of construction at the project. While we certainly aren't a food blog, we can recommend the chocolate coconut donut! Back on topic, the next two residential buildings within the 2.6-acre site are under construction. One building is in the framing stage with the second is nearly completion. Developer Michael Barsamian tells BLDUP he expects the next residential building to be open in July of this year. Both buildings will feature all 1 bedroom apartments.

When complete Essex Landing will include..

- 256 one-bedroom apartments

- 150 room boutique hotel

- 100,000 square feet of retail space

- 3 premier restaurant spaces (between 5,000 & 8,000 sq ft) 

- One giant orang dinosaur

Various Stages of Construction Ongoing at Essex Landing: Kane's Donuts Set to Open in January

Various stages of construction are ongoing within the 2.6-acre site along Route 1 in Saugus, Essex Landing. The first building, holding 39 residential units, opened earlier this year and the second building will be home to Kane's Donuts, which is set to open in the coming weeks.

At the top of the project, exterior work is ongoing is for the next residential building to feature 48 units. This building is scheduled to open in May. From its location at the top of the site, the residences will offer great views of the ocean and the Encore Casino. 

Site work is also ongoing halfway up the hill for another two rental buildings. In total, the project will include 256 apartments. Essex Landing will also include a 150 room hotel to be positioned behind the famous orange dinosaur along with 100,000sf of retail and 8,200sf of retail space.
