Wilshire Grand Center is a 1,100-foot skyscraper in the Financial District of Downtown Los Angeles, California. It is the tallest building in Los Angeles, the tallest building in California and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. The building will be part of a mixed-use hotel, retail, observation decks, shopping malls and office complex, expected to revitalize downtown Los Angeles and the area surrounding the building. The development of the complex is estimated to cost $1.2 billion. The plans include 67,000 SF of retail, 677,000 SF of Class A office space and 900 hotel rooms. InterContinental is the tower's hotel component, comprising 900 rooms and suites occupying the 38th to the 70th floors. Construction focused on green building techniques and materials, which allows the building to achieve LEED Gold certification.
Amenities include access to light and air for all office tenants, hotel guests and visitors; a dramatic and lively urban open space; and indoor and outdoor cafes, restaurants, and bars. With floor-to-ceiling glass windows, the vistas from the hotel rooms and office space will be filled with natural light. This will be the first significant building in Los Angeles to have this feature.
With the Metro 7th Street station right across the street, there are more 20 lines coming to this area providing super connectivity to tenants, guests, and visitors.
Office and retail spaces are now available for lease with 18 floors of office space totaling approximately 365,141 RSF of space, 45,100 square feet of new restaurant and retail space housing world-class restaurants. Hotel tenant of Wilshire Grand is the Food and Drink Behemoth InterContinental featuring an array of high-flying concepts including a top floor open air bar with an unparalleled view.
