The northern portion of Parcel L (L1), 227 Tingey Street, will feature a 10-story, 225-room hotel (120,500 sq. ft.) with 38 suites and up to 13,000 sq. ft. of retail space. The hotel will offer 4,000 sq. ft. of meeting & event space and 38 suites (425 – 800 sq. ft.). Standard rooms will average 300 – 350 sq. ft. The southern portion of the site (Parcel L2) has plans for a 264-unit apartment building. The two-level 270-space underground garage will provide parking for both Parcels L1 & L2. This project is part of The Yards development, a 42-acre project that may ultimately consist of 1.8 million sq. ft. of office space, 2,800 residential units, 400,000 sq. ft. of retail space and a 5.4-acre park (completed in 2010). Union Investment Real Estate GmbH purchased the hotel in December 2019/January 2020 for $120 million.
