Georgetown Historic District In the Commission of Fine Arts jurisdiction area ECS will advance a total of thirteen (13) borings at the property. Borings will be advanced using a track-mounted, Geoprobe Direct-Push drill rig. The borings within the proposed building footprint (B-5 through B-9) will be advanced to a maximum depth of 30 feet below ground surface. The borings within the proposed building footprint (B-5 through B-9) will be advanced to a maximum depth of 30 feet below ground surface. The remaining soil borings located outside of the building footprint will be advanced to a maximum depth of 20 feet below ground surface. All borings will be advanced to their maximum depth, or until a confining layer below saturated soil is encountered, or until probe refusal is encountered, whichever occurs first. If saturated soil conditions (indicative of groundwater) are encountered, ECS will attempt to collect a groundwater sample from up to five of the borings. The groundwater samples will be collected using dedicated plastic bailers or by using a peristaltic pump with dedicated tubing.
