3900 Wisconsin Ave NW, Tenleytown, Washington, DC 20016
This 10-acre former headquarters of Fannie Mae is being transformed into a 1.15 million square-foot development. The project, City Ridge, calls for 9 mixed-use buildings featuring 687 residential units, 194,000 sq. ft. of retail space (anchored by an 82,000 sq. ft. Wegmans grocery store, and 170,000 sq. ft. of office/cultural uses. Portions of the original building (c. 1958 & 1962) will be incorporated into the overall development plan as modern office space (or residential) and the grand front lawn will be heavily programmed.
