About Four Seasons Hotel & Private Residences, New Orleans
New Orleans, Louisiana
Developers Carpenter & Company and Woodward Interests commissioned lead architect CambridgeSeven, Woodward Design+Build, and Trapolin-Peer Architects for the historic redevelopment of the former World Trade Center in New Orleans into the Four Seasons New Orleans Hotel and Residences.
This 33-story, mixed-use project will include a 347 key Four Seasons Hotel on the lower floors as well as 98 luxury condominiums on the upper floors. Hotel guests and residents will benefit from Four Seasons' five-star services and amenities, including two signature restaurants, more than 200,000 square feet of meeting space, a spa and fitness center, a roof-top pool and deck area, and a separate roof-top bar.
A cornerstone of the Development includes a public cultural attraction, located on the second floor and in the two-story rooftop cupola, which will focus on New Orleans' history and culture and will be procured, curated and narrated by two of America's leading academics - Harvard University's Henry Louis Gates, Jr., and Tulane University's Lawrence N. Powell.
A revitalized Spanish Plaza will complement the architecture and connect it with the public riverwalk. The ground exterior elements are entirely dedicated to enriching the urban experience unique to Canal Street.
