About Haddon Hall

29 Commonwealth Avenue, Back Bay, Boston, MA

Existing 11-story office building located in the heart of the Back Bay containing over 40,000 square feet of space. 29 Commonwealth Avenue was completed in 1895 and features sweeping views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline.

New owner Hexagon Properties, who acquired 29 Commonwealth Avenue for $30 million in January 2017, proposes to convert the building into luxury residences dubbed The Residences at Haddon Hall. Hexagon had previously proposed to convert the building into a private club; however, given neighborhood opposition, Hexagon withdrew its' proposal in early January 2017. Now a full renovation of Haddon Hall will restore the exquisite original architecture while bringing it up to date as a reconfigured luxury residential building, complete with garage parking. Nine spacious condominiums, including a sprawling duplex penthouse with a rooftop terrace, will be finished with a level of detail and customization rarely seen in today’s residential development.
