The proponent plans to raze the existing building and construct an approximately six-story, multi-family residential building. The new building would feature 120 dwelling units, interior ground-level and basement parking for approximately 60 motor vehicles, as well as ground-level storage for 120 bicycles.
In conjunction with the construction of the project, the proponent would upgrade the adjacent sidewalks with the City's Complete Streets Design Guidelines, subject to review and approval by the Boston Public Improvements Commission. An additional public benefit from the project would be improvements to the adjacent Penniman Road Play Area, an important resource for neighborhood residents.
