Developer Patrick McGrath plans to transform the former Porthole Restaurant into 78 luxury condominiums.
McGrath plans to demolish the former restaurant building and break ground on construction of the new steel and concrete building, dubbed Harbor98.
Construction is expected to begin in 2021 on the $30 to $35 million project, which was designed so each condo would have views of Boston, the harbor, and the ocean.
Units would range from 800 to 2,600 square feet. The mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom condos, and penthouse suites, which will include 10 to 15 waterfront units, would sell for $520,000 to $1.95 million.
