22-bed luxury senior living community located in Weston overlooking the Charles River. Maplewood at Weston recently underwent a $2.5 million renovation by South Coast Improvement Company, which made numerous interior and exterior improvements. A new two-story foyer was constructed based off of an existing antique 19th century post-and-beam barn on which the entire community is based, and the existing community’s facade and roof were both redesigned and refaced.
Inside the building, finishes, lighting, flooring and electrical systems were updated throughout common areas. Maplewood at Weston’s pub, library, formal living room, country kitchen, media cafe and discovery room were improved with millwork throughout cabinets, exotic wood accent walls and rift cut ceilings. Additional new installations included five new gas fireplaces with custom masonry, a new waterfall in the community’s main lobby and a custom 180-bottle wine cabinet.
